Fabric Painting & Dyeing Workshop (In-Person)

Give tired fabric a fresh new look with the magic of paint! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to paint and dye a variety of fabrics; from upholstery and cotton to textured weaves. You'll be using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, Fusion Mineral Paint, and Milk Paint.

In just two hours, you’ll discover:

Painting Fabric

• How to prep fabric for the best results
• Techniques for painting upholstery, cotton, and high-pile/texture fabrics
• How to protect painted fabric with wax for long-lasting beauty

Dyeing Fabric with Paint

• How to choose the right fabrics for dyeing
• Step-by-step fabric prep
• How to create beautiful, custom colours with Chalk Paint and Milk Paint
• Setting and washing your dyed fabric for durability

You’ll create your own sample swatches during class to take home; perfect for reference on future projects.

This beginner-friendly workshop is suitable for all skill levels. Whether you want to update an old chair, refresh a cushion, or experiment with custom textiles, you’ll leave with the skills and confidence to bring your fabric to life.
