This incredible set of long knives were made between 1848 and 1865 in Sheffield England by Joseph Rodgers & Sons cutlers to Queen Victoria. Each knife is stamped "VR Joseph Rodgers & sons, Cutler to her Majesty" with a star and Maltese Cross mark under the stamp. (VR is for Victoria Regina meaning Queen Victoria) The square handles are likely made from bovine bone and have a yellow colour to them. Significant wear and some rust spots: need cleaning.
Each knife measures approximately 10" long.
Sold as a set of 8 knives.
