Purple Transferware Dinner Plate

A rare purple/plum transferware dinner plate made by A.J. Wilkinson in the early 1900s. This English transferware is marked "Pastoral Davenport 1840" after the original design. The plate features a quintessential English scene including a wagon and horses, and a mother and her children watching the hunt. The plate edge includes farm equipment, a beehive, and flowers. Some wear on these plates.

Crazing present. No chips or cracks.

Measures 10" across.
