Purple Transferware Water Pitcher

A rare purple/plum transferware water/milk pitcher made by A.J. Wilkinson in the early 1900s. This English transferware is marked "Pastoral Davenport 1840" after the original design. The pitcher features a quintessential English scene including a horse and rider, cottage, and dogs. The edge includes farm equipment, a beehive, and flowers. Some wear on these plates.

Crazing present with some discolouration. No chips.

Measures approximately 5.5" high and 7" across at the widest part.
