A rare purple/plum transferware bread plate made by A.J. Wilkinson in the early 1900s. This English transferware is marked "Pastoral Davenport 1840" after the original design. The plate features a quintessential English scene including a wagon and horses, hay, and a farm scene. The plate edge includes farm equipment, a beehive, and flowers. These plates make great trinket dishes.
Some wear on these plates. Crazing present.
